Traditionally Bajo Guadalquivir has always been wine producing land.Throughout its history, the
development of this rich culture of wine production has had numerous anthropological, economic
and social impacts.The territory, as a result of centuries of continual cultivation, has been moulded
into fertile land favourable to the production of wines which have achieved international recognition.
Remaining faithful to the traditions of seasonal agricultural, wine production has had great
ethnological impact; wine plays an important part in the gastronomy of the region, helping to
maintain traditional recipies and eating habits.
Finally, the industry has reached high levels of specialisation resulting in a noteworthy contribution to
local and national culture. For all that, Bajo Gualadquivir is and will remain a land of farmhouses,
vineyards and wines of natural quality.
