Ogliastra is a region in Sardinia which spreads to the central east slope. Recently it was given the
status of a province.
The province, famous for one of the most untouched landscapes in Sardinia, succeeded to keep the
authenticity and simplicity of tradition in the past, together with the hospitality of its inhabitants, the
keepers of secrets and beauties of the land.
Among magnificent cliffs and sea depths, one can admire infinite valleys and hillsides scattered with
vineyards with the vine Cannonau and olive plantations. The terrain is in some places wild and
difficult, but the region is famous for its landscape, archeological, historical and cultural diversity,
and authenticity of the gastronomy which completely fascinates the visitors.
